Again, I apologize if I am using the wrong terms, as I am more familiar with SuperMicro & Asrock Rack server motherboards. I thought I read that the "standard" license is provided with the purchase (I may be using the wrong vernacular, perhaps "basic management" is the correct term as you noted?).īut I have no functionality whatsoever with the out-of-band baseboard management controller, none at all (see screen snip below). I was under the impression that there is a base functionality of the BMC/IPMI/"IDRAC" that is provided with the server purchase without additional upgrade license fees. Please let me know what to do in order to use the license that I have paid for. I have all the info on my server purchase from Dell that would be required to prove my purchase and for it to be looked up in Dell's database. I thought my situation could be handled exactly the same way.Īnyway, please provide an email address for me to submit my inquiry to, so that I can get my issue resolved and access iDRAC via my standard license that I bought and paid for but cannot use!Īgain, the link you provided previously does NOT apply to my situation, which is needing my iDRAC standard license info. to the customer through a private communication. helped him very quickly! The public post indicated that the license information had been sent by the Dell Mod. I found a post here on this forum where someone had the EXACT same issue as I do, and the Dell Mod. in my post, I was thinking that a Dell moderator would need that information to help me, and that they would simply remove it before allowing my inquiry to be posted. I apologize for including my customer number, etc. I followed the link you provided, but the link is to a "change of ownership" page which has nothing to do with my post.
